Directions to UROC

UROC is two blocks east of the intersection of North Penn Avenue and Plymouth Avenue North.
Special note: The Plymouth Avenue Bridge will be closed for maintenance from fall 2010 through winter 2011. Detour is the West Broadway Bridge several blocks north.

From downtown Minneapolis:

1. Take North Washington Avenue approximately 1 mile to Plymouth Avenue.
2. Turn left onto Plymouth.
3. Cross over I-94.
4. Proceed on Plymouth approximately 13 blocks to UROC.
5. UROC will be on the left side of the street, immediately past Morgan Avenue.

Going north on I-94W:

1. Take the MN-55/Olson Highway/7th Street N exit (Exit 230).
2. Stay in the second lane from the left (Lyndale Avenue).
3. Go straight onto Lyndale Avenue N.
4. Cross over I-94.
5. Stay on Lyndale Ave. N.
6. Turn slight left onto N. 7th Street.
7. Turn left onto Plymouth Avenue.
8. UROC will be 13 blocks west on the left side of the street.

From the University of Minnesota:

For a freeway-based route, please follow directions for "Going North on I-94W," above.
You may also reach UROC easily on local streets. See "From downtown Minneapolis," above. Alternatively, proceed north from SE 4th Street/University Avenue (East Bank/Dinkytown area) as follows:

1. Go north/northwest on SE 4th Street; cross Central Avenue.
2. Turn left onto NE 1st Ave. and immediately get into the right turn lane.
3. Turn right onto University Avenue.
4. Go approximately10 blocks to West Broadway Avenue.
5. Turn left onto West Broadway, which crosses I-94.
6. Go to Fremont Avenue, turn left, and go six blocks to Plymouth Avenue North.
7. Turn right on Plymouth. UROC will be 8 blocks west of Fremont Avenue on the left side of the street (immediately past Morgan Avenue).

Going south on I-94W:

1. Take the Broadway Avenue exit (get # of exit).
2. At the bottom of the exit ramp at the light, turn right onto Broadway.
3. Go to Fremont Avenue, turn left, and go six blocks to Plymouth Avenue North.
4. Turn right on Plymouth. UROC will be 8 blocks west from Fremont Avenue on the left side of the street.

From I-394 east or west:

1. Take the Penn Avenue exit and turn north.
2. Cross Glenwood Avenue and Olson Memorial Parkway.
3. From Olson Memorial Parkway, it is four blocks to Plymouth Avenue.
4. Turn right on Plymouth and the UROC building will be two blocks east on your right.

From Olson Memorial Parkway (St. Rt. 55) east or west:

1. Turn onto North Penn Avenue: turn left if coming from the west, turn right if coming from the east.
2. Drive four blocks to Plymouth Avenue.
3. Turn right on Plymouth and the UROC building will be two blocks east on your right.

The University of Minnesota UROC building at Plymouth and Penn avenues in North Minneapolis is open Monday–Friday
from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
