When: Thursday, August 27, 6:00pm – 7:30pm
Where: Minneapolis Urban League, Laura Scott Williams Room (2100 Plymouth Avenue North, Minneapolis, MN 55411)
Sponsored by the University of Minnesota’s Office of Public Engagement, in collaboration with the Urban Research and Outreach/Engagement Center.
This particular community forum was specific to North Minneapolis, and was one of several place-based forums the Office of Public Engagement is holding across the state to learn about the needs and opinions of the university's community partners. This forum builds upon the university's commitment to an urban vision and public engagement; it represents another opportunity to further the dialogue between the university and the Northside fostered through UROC and the University Northside Partnership (UNP). One focus was how to best leverage community and university resources and knowledge to create solutions to complex urban challenges and improve quality of life in the Northside's neighborhoods.
